Range Officer will shoot

Received my Range Officer back from Dave Salyer who replaced the barrel with a Kart barrel and other tweaks.  Headed to the range with 4 different lots Federal Gold Medal Match 185 gr ammo and my Ransom Rest set up at 50 yards.  Bad news is I can't blame the pistol, its all going to be on me!  Thank you Dave.

What was the approximate cost of the mods to get this kind of accuracy?

Can't really answer that.  I had a couple of wad guns in with it and just paid a total.  Dave can easily answer if you ask him.

A quality Kart barrel will be between $150 - $200, plus you will need a new bushing, link and pin, add maybe another $50. Plus whatever gunsmiths charge for the job, plus shipping.
I normally wouldn't charge a lot for the barrel refitting job, but it depends, of course, on the gun particulars, if there's anything else that needs to be fixed that affects this particular pistol accuracy, etc.

What are the ring diameters? Same as 50 yard target?

Yes, same as the X ring and 10 ring on a 50 yard target.

Dave rebuilt my SRO last Fall, and its accurate. Price was very fair with a quick turn.

Have known Dave since the mid 80's . Shot with him in the Virginia  area then and has neen a good friend  since . Since he retired he has moved into building great pistols . I think he told me last year about 10% of the pistols on the line at Perry were his work .

One of the cost was great ammo . I think it was Federal Gold Medal Match .

I sent one in years ago, I do not remember what he charged , I do my own trigger jobs. I do not think it was more than $500 to install a barrel and supply the parts. Gun will shoot under 4 inches at 50 yards I never tested it.
