EB Adjustable sight does not work with SA Garrison 1911

I decided to switch out my stock sights on my SA Garrison 1911 and purchased an EB style adjustable sight. I did not pay close enough attention to the details. The dove tail looks like it will fit fine, but the Garrison has a "lip" that prevents the extended part of the EB, forward of the dove, to slide in.

What is the best course of action here? Is there an adjustable that will fit this style of DT? Should/could I have the slide milled to allow for the EB I bought?

Any help would be appreciated.

I had mine milled to accept the Bomar footprint of the Ed Brown adjustable rear sight. It works well.

The OEM sight on that SA looks like it's a Novak copy. You should research that, because if it's an actual Novak dovetail cut, nothing but a Novak-compatible dovetail will work without some amount of modification.

Yes, it looks like the LMA style Novak. I'll research that. I'd rather get something that fits per design than mill down the top of the slide, which it looks like I would have to.
