52 With a Bulged Barrel

Well it has a .007 bulge in the middle...Still shoots good but a little leery . What are the options ?

Clark makes replacements, but…

If it still shoots ok it may be fine as-is?

If it still shoots good, you can keep shooting it.  If you’d like to get an original correct barrel for the gun, keep an eye on the auction sites and this list.  Barrels and parts come up every so often.

Is there a procedure for relining these barrels?

This does not appear to be a for sale ad, so I’m moving this to Equipment.

Bill Lautheridge at Cylinder and Slide used to be able to roll the rings out of 52 barrels. I don’t know if his son is still offering that service, may want to give him a call.

If the gun still shoots OK, and I'm sure it does. Don't worry about it. I have seen several 52's with bulged barrels continue to shoot for years.

Couple of questions: 
1) What caused the bulged barrel in the first place?
2) Does Cylinder & Slide still "repair" bulged barrels?
3) If so, what's the cost?
