Hold or Adjust From 25 yard to 50 yard
Newer to outdoor bullseye. I shoot with Ultra Dot sight. Do you hold higher on the 50 yard target (compared to 25 yard target) with your 45 or do you adjust dot sight three clicks like this thread suggests?

Thanks,

I adjust 4 clicks - the # depends on your load. During the trigger release I want the same sight picture.

I would never suggest the Kentucky windage approach (moving your aim point)but everyone knows that it is 4 clicks not 3. Ok,not 3 or 4 for everyone. I only have a 2 click change on my 22 using subsonic ammo.A 4 click on the 45 with 4.2 gr BE behind a 200gr SWC and 8 clicks on the 45 with 3.8 gr.All those corrections were with Ultradots. You just have to shoot them and find out what works. Back to changing your aim point.I tried shooting center hold on the short line and 6 oclock on the long.It just never worked. In the 10 seconds you have to shoot rapid you go back to what is natural for you.

The adjusters are there for you to adjust em.
Especially if you are shooting a dot, adjust the sight so you aim for the center for every shot.

Thanks. That is what I thought. The person that I shot next to won the overall match and never touched his sights. Got me thinking.

Both 22 and 45 are two clicks for me. 45 is 4.2 BE at 50, and 3.5 BE at 25, both 185 grn SWHP (Zero). I think Cecil and/or Clark uses 185 grn WC at 25 and 200 at 50, both with the same load, that results in no clicking. I could be wrong, but it was something like that.
