Highest X-Count for a 2700

We all know 2680 is the National Record.

What's the highest X-count you're aware of?

Let's start at 140x, Don Hamilton, Camp Perry, 1969.

I'll look through Canton results of the past years and see what tops that. Interservice would be another likely candidate.

Henderson, 159 in 2009.

John Zurek, 2679-167X, 5.20.2012 (Civilian National Record).

Legend has it that Hershel dropped 5 points on his final rapid fire target while shooting 2680. 

I haven't gotten any dirt from John Z. about his 2679. Haven't seen him in a few years.

Photo posted in another thread today showed Bonnie with a 2668-169.

Hmm... When I witnessed Brian Zins shoot 2679 at Fairfax VA in 2006 he had more Xs than the X-count of the 2680-159X of Hershel Anderson's record.  It may have "only" been 165X, though.  I wonder if I might be able to find that results bulletin somewhere...

Of note, Brian shot 2678 the day before in MD.  I was there also.  He broke and tied some records at both events that weekend.

2678+2679 is dropping as many points in two 2700s as a 2657 in one. Let that sink in for a bit.

When Zurek shot the 2679 it was well over 100 degrees out and he was running the match. He was in the zone.
