Anybody use Eley Action 42 grain ammo in a pardini sp new?


Function ok?  Alibi's?

I have read that 42 grain is a no-go for NRA, but I can't find that in the rulebook

I bought a case of the CMP Eley bulk for $350 delivered, a bit more than the $275 plus shipping for the Action, but it's good stuff. A bit of a pain because it comes 500 bulk rounds in a bag in a box, but I've got enough 50 count boxes, right?

Sounds like that bullet is a manufacturing mistake. Problem solved by documenting bugs and turning them into features....

Jim asked them about it and it was intentional.  They said because the heavier bullet did better for the run and gun guys

Yep, told it was designed for the steel target guys. was told they have plenty of bullseye loads available.

Shoulda bought it while I coulda.  they are out now.

That extra 2 grains in bullet weight would have made your barrel droop.......

From my experience with Eley Action or Contact the recoil pulse is more controllable.  The only downside for the Action is a need to clean the action a lot. Well there is also the dented cases but they straighten out real good when fired.     The bulk packaging will turn some shooters off.  

Eley Contact I prefer and the price is not bad for these times.
