Star 45 Cal, 185 gr, LSWHP Swaged Bullet, Replacement
Since the STAR Bullet Company is out of business, does anyone have a recommendation for a Swaged 45 Cal 185, LSWHP Bullet.
Thank you,

I have Zero suggestions for you: Roze Distribution: 45 Acp (.452 Diameter) - 185 GR SWHP $ per 1000.

Greetings,
I recently tested some Zero Swaged Lead 185 HP bullets for a friend.
Barrel is a factory Colt Gold Cup.
Target distance is 50 yards.
Barrel mounted in a mechanical fixture.
Cheers,
Dave

Dave
Was that the Lead SWC or the Jacketed 185 gr HP?

Re: Star 45 Cal, 185 gr, LSWHP Swaged Bullet, Replacement
Johnnie - I has also been a fan of the Star bullets for many years. I shot my last Star SWC (flay nose w/the dirty black lube) at the Desert Midwinter Championship. To my surprise I found a box with several 1000 of the Star HPSWC bullets. When those are finally gone I will tap into my supply of Zero HPSWC bullets which shoot with very similar accuracy from my pistol using 4.0gr. of BE.
The consistency both Star and Zero swaged bullets provide provides confidence at both long and short lines.

Thank you. I received an email from Zero and they had their 185 HPSWC bullets in stock and was able to purchase some. Using 3.8 gr of Clays they are grouping equally as well in my Wad Gun. Very pleased to find a replacement to the original Star Bullets.
