Shade tubes on Holosun?

As they are nominally the same size - has anyone tried fitting Aimpoint shade tubes to a Holosun 403/503?

To keep front lenses cleaner (from cyl. gap smoke/debris) on a couple target revolvers:
After buffing surfaces with fine emery cloth I super glued 1" U'dot trim rings on the front of a Holosun HS403B and a Sig Romeo5. Then screwed the U'dot extension onto it. - Can remove the extension for lense cleaning. Works so far-I do not want to be bumping it into anything tho.  - - The 1" stuff is little small.

Hmm - hadn't thought of that. 
Goes off to investigate
