Bullet Feeders Empty Bullet Feeders

Post by paulj Wed Sep 13, 2023 2:54 pm

Trying to choose a bullet feeder for low volume reloading.  Is there any reason that I shouldn't choose the RCBS bullet feeder?

It only holds 20-25 bullets, so I don't see any real advantage.

To me, the time spent filling up the tube would (probably) be equal to the amount of time it would take to place the bullet individually.

Best way is to buy additional plexiglass tubing.  You can cut them to length and swap them out. Use a small block of wood to drill the hole for the “hairpin” bullet retainer.  There are caps that will seal the top.  I find that you can fill tubes while watching the nonsense on your tv.  Then store them as filled tubes.  Also change tubes with the ram and a case in the die.  You might lose one, but the tube could empty if you don’t.
